On 14th July 2016, a delegation of three representatives of University of Zakho headed by Dr. Ahmed H. Ibrahim (with Mr.Karwan W. Mosa, and Mr. Hisham A. Khorsheed) has participated in the exhibition of European universities in Dedeman Hotel/ Erbil. The visit was hoped to; get to know better about the 25 participant universities and invite the universities in interest for creating stronger ties between our university and theirs in the areas of academic collaborations, such as: joint research projects, trainings, student exchange programs especially students of Kurdish language, workshops, conferences, research grants, … etc. Meeting with them, the delegation managed to officially invite 4 Turkish universities; Dicle University, Harran University, Bahçeşehir University, and Yüzüncü Yıl University as well as friendly introductions and invitations with other universities. They expressed their willingness to make visits to UoZ for further mutual understandings and relations. A number of research and scholarship programs are expected to be announced by these universities where students of UoZ can apply and continue their higher studies of which two are currently running namely; Mevlana Student Exchange Program
